Cool as heck! Loved going and learning and just experiencing the building and people. The owner, Joy and her hubby, are very knowledgeable and friendly. The history surrounding this building and town is awesome!
Had a great time on the night tour. Very friendly and knowledge. Took us around the store and told stories of the past. Then showed a vedio of the different rooms at night. Then let us explore the store on our own pace. Very good time. I will go back and do it again and recommended everyone to go there and see it for yourself. AWESOME place!!
I wanted to go to the Whipple Museum ever since I heard about it. I am so glad that I did! The tour was fascinating and provided a glimpse into what the lives of the miners and their families must have been like.I am so glad that I went off the beaten path and visited. The drive was beautiful and the Whipple Museum well worth the time and extra planning.
If you're interested in something more than just history, stop here for the heritage of this areas coal miners.
This is s great place to visit. The history is bountiful.....if you are interested. The tour is well worth your donation. A restoration is in progress but you are still able to tour the building.
